I’ve always had a fascination with words and after writing a poem for a friends birthday, I’ve never looked back.
Since then I have amassed a vast and varied portfolio of work. Paperback publications include, ‘Blade in Scotland’, Forward Poetry and third place Coastword competition piece, ’Malty Towers’, on Bowdy-Kite Books.
Humorous work also featured in local newspaper, Cumbernauld News, on four separate occasions. Other notable achievements include work being aired on long running Clyde One 102.5FM Super Scoreboard football show.
To date I have written approximately twelve hundred poems and continue to add to this at any opportunity. I write humorous, edgy, dark and satirical poetry, often with a native Scottish lilt.
Often I like to set myself writing challenges. During one month in 2016, I wrote thirty one poems in thirty one days.
Each and every piece of work I have taken on has resulted in a final outcome. This relates to anything from an eight-line structured poem through to a two and half thousand word ceremony composition.
I consider myself to be a passionate, ambitious and versatile writer, committed to achieving the best possible outcome with each piece of work.
In July 2021, I released a collection of ninety-four humorous and satirical poems with accompanying graphics, in association with Indie Authors World publishers.
